So despite all the talk about going to Dragon Con, I actually didn't go. Here's why. I didn't think I was going to have a good time. I know that might sound stupid to some, but the truth is you go to conventions to have fun, and if you're not having fun then why go? That's not to say I don't like conventions. MomoCon this year was the best weekend of my life. Sadly I don't think Dragon Con has anything to offer me personally other than being overcrowded.
Another reason is because I'm looking into cons that I can bring Brainfreezerrr to, and Dragon Con has strict policies against fan panels. There's also no funds available for a dealer booth.
It takes a lot of effort and cash for me to go to cons, and right now I'm weak on the latter. I think it's safe to say I'll be going to MomoCon for the next couple of years, but for everything else it's really more about lack of funds and inaccessibility. I may go to Dragon Con another year, but to me it's not worth it this year.
